We are seeking a Special Education Teacher for a full-time elementary opportunity in Half Moon Bay, CA for the 2026–2027 school year. This position is ideal for an educator who enjoys working with students on the autism spectrum and is comfortable splitting their week across two school sites with manageable caseloads at each.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction to elementary students with mild to moderate support needs, including students with autism, across two school sites.
• Manage caseloads at both locations, including IEP development, implementation, progress monitoring, and documentation.
• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction aligned to IEP goals.
• Implement autism-specific strategies, visual supports, and positive behavior supports as appropriate.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, related-service providers, families, and site administrators at both schools.
• Adapt instruction and accommodations based on individual student needs.
• Maintain consistent service delivery and accurate records across both assigned sites.

Requirements

• Active California Education Specialist credential authorizing Mild/Moderate or Mild to Moderate Support Needs (MMSN). Required.
• Active California Autism Spectrum Disorders Added Authorization. Required.
• Previous school-based Special Education experience, preferably at the elementary level.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, particularly when working across multiple school sites.
• Ability to work full-time for the 2026–27 school year.

Compensation for this position ranges from $35.34 to $50.34. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
