**This is a remote work from home position for California residents only.**
Rutledge Claims Management, Inc. ("RCM"), a leader in the hazard claims industry, has an immediate opening for a professional, enthusiastic and detail oriented Claims Assistant. This full-time, entry level position offers remote work for California residents, with approximate work hours of Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm.; hours are subject to change based upon the firm's business needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Identify damaged properties.
· Collect information regarding properties that require further investigation by others.
· Call insurance companies and file insurance claims on behalf of our clients.
· Call real estate agents/brokers and local municipalities to determine condition of property and access to dwelling.
· Answer incoming calls and respond to emails in a timely manner
· Heavy data entry.
· Attention to detail
· Eager to learn and grasp concepts quickly.
· Other duties as assigned.
· Job duties are subject to change based upon the firm’s business needs.
Requirements:
· High school graduate or equivalent.
· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft software programs and standard office equipment including computers, printers, copiers, scanners, fax machines, etc.
· Ability to type a minimum of 45 wpm.
· Ability to communicate effectively on the telephone
· Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions and procedures.
· Ability to meet deadlines (while under stress) as well as someone who can manage their time well and seek out other work during slow times.
· Ability to work at least eight hours a day from home . Must have access to a functional computer (laptop or desktop) for work purposes
· Candidates must have the ability to stay focused and work with a high degree of speed and accuracy.
Preferred Education and Experience:
· Some college courses, preferred.
· Experience in an office, and/or customer service environment, preferred.
Salary:
· The salary for the Claims Assistant position is: $20.00 per hour.
